| A time to play...a time to worship |

[image]whostolemycookies_ 1068150978.gif[/image] Went for the hillsongs concert on saturday...it was amazing stuff worshipping God with such a God led worship team...truly had a great time worshipping the Lord...it was great catching up with some of my frens which i haven seen for a while...frens who had graduated alr and are either working or hve been enlisted back into the dreadful pit known as the army heh...things are really pretty different without the graduated batch hogging the seats at the forum which we have fondly dubbed our 'crusade corner'...a fren of mine commented dat the corner looks 'weird' without the 'usual' ppl there...well 'usual' wld really depend on when u were usually ard that place heh...aniwae i can't help but agree with her...things are a lil different without some of my good frens ard...well i guess God plucks us out of our comfort zone sometimes and challenges us to make the neccessary readjustments...all for the good of us...i guess i might hve been getting a lil too comfy with my bunch of frens dat i've neglected the reason for joining crusade...so here's a a reminder for any of u out there serving the Lord who might hve chanced upon my blog...always remain focused on the Lord in all dat u do...and He'll honour all dat u're doing...

it's been a while since i last blogged...been swamped with planning for a campus crusade camp in my school...praise God everything's finally coming along alright...it's just a matter of praying and waiting for the registration to roll in...stands at 10 now but i'm sure many more will be coming in as we approach the camp proper...had a truly revelatory experience last night as i was sending out the publicity email for the camp to the incoming freshmen...after sending a couple of emails dat had ard 50 email adds each...my server was suddenly telling me dat it cldn't send anymore...started panicking and tried other email a/cs instd...but they took really long to load up...and my eye starting hurting all of a sudden...strange it had never happened b4...even when i've kept late nights on the comp everything used to be alright...not this time...i got frustrated at my futile attempts in trying to send the emails out...finally gave up...decided to go do my quiet time instd...and guess wat?...when i opened up the book which i was using as a devotional material...the title screamed out at me "DO IT NOW" it read...wow God's speaking pretty clearly to me abt wat i shld be doing now isn't it?...well mabbe not...i decided not to rush...but i waited upon the LORD and took time to read wat was written...and even as i read...the Holy Spirit moved and spoke to me..."wat i am asking u to do now is not to continue sending the emails...but rather to PRAY"...wow wow was i woken up...started praying...and even as i was led in prayer by the Holy Spirit i realised the intensity of the spiritual warfare taking place...alright so after praying i went to bed...

woke up at 530 in the morning...gosh my lights were on!!...but i distinctly remembered switching it off b4 i went to bed!!!....really strange...somehow at the back of my mind i had this faint impression dat i woke up to switch on the lights!!!...cld i hve sleepwalked??...now wat did the bible say abt sleepwalking???...i'm not too sure abt dat but i intend to find out...i switched off the lights and went back to bed

woke up...switched on my comp hoping the problem with my server wld hve fixed itself...i didn't...got me edgy again...decided to log on to the other hotmail a/c dat was created for the camp...after sending a couple of mass mails i was told dat i had exceeded my quota for the 24hr period!!!...so dat was the problem...so no matter wat i might hve done last night wldn't hve solved the problem!!!....and immediately the revelation dawned upon me dat Satan cld even use words written and spoken by a man of God to deceive us!!!...dat was so frightening!!!...all the more we need to wait upon the Lord and the prompting of the Holy Spirit in all dat we do!!!

[b]Totally knackered...been doing relief teaching for the past couple of days and it sure has taken it's toll on me...been waking up earlier than the sun for the last two days...sch lasts till 1330...but the students are absolute terrors...apparently i got the worst classes among the sec 3 classes...but thank God dat i am able to click with them...able to speak their language...furthermore they took to me pretty fast so it made things much easier...some of the students are actually pretty easy going and fun to tok to...but i really had to go out of my usual comfort zone to reach out to them and communicate with them...now i noe the amt of stress some teachers face when working with such disruptive students day-in day-out...alrite gonna hit the sack...[/b]

[b]Finally caught the Matrix:Reloaded a few days ago...i must say that it wasn't as good as wat i had expected it to be...too many fight scenes...seems like whenever anybody other than Neo fights the sentinels they would get beaten up pretty badly until Neo comes to save the day...the plot was pretty weak as well...it becomes pretty blantantly obvious that this sequel was made and filmed solely with the intention of attracting the crowds back for the final installation...esp when u get to the end and they leave u with a "to be concluded"...man it's almost like a scam for goodness sake...only tv serials do smth like dat!...and to top it all off...i had to wait for like 5 mins b4 the credits finished rolling only to end up watching a 30 sec trailer of the third installation of the Matrix and feel no different had i not watched it haha...oh well
I'm doing some relief teaching next week...and for 4 days in a row i have to drag myself up at 6 in the morning...get myself to the sch by 715 and then put myself thru half a day of torture by kids feeling restless coz the hols are 4 days away as well =p...oh well the trials and tribulations of being a teacher...albeit only for a few days...[/b]

[b]Today was Parents-Teachers Meeting for my sunday school Kids!...woo!...yeah i'm teaching in sunday school taking a bunch of boys all ard 14...it's my first year at this so i'm learning as much as they are learning too...the kids were being entertained by an evangelistic video as their parents had a dialogue with the rest of the teachers in the vineyard...i kindly volunteered to stay back in the chapel to help out with the kids instd of going up to the vineyard and just stand ard looking good heh...at first when i started watching the video i did not understand a single bit as to why this video was chosen...it was abt an illusionist gg abt to debunk the myth that crystals had magical powers and other stuff along the same line...by the end of the video the illusionist ahd performed various illusions such as standing on water...stepping right thru a lady in a box among others...but at the end of the video the illusionist used one last illusion to describe the cruxifiction of Christ and how this has given us the gift of eternal life...wat did i draw from this?...well i guess the one impt thing was dat we shld be good stewards of the gifts and talents that God has blesses us with...not seeking to use it for our own personal and worldly gains...but seeking to use it so that Gospel may be made known to all people...dat really helped me to realise that watever gifts i hve been blessed with shld be truly used for this purpose...not to horde it and be selfish...but to be generous so dat ppl ard me may be blessed by it
In any case...do i really look all dat young?...the teachers were all given tags today indicating their name and the class they were taking...as parents walked by me they stared at my tag and then at me!...as if in total disbelief dat i was a teacher! =p...the clincher was an elder in my church who had a daughter in sunday sch too...as he walked past me i caught a few of his side glances at my tag...as if looking to confirm if he had seen the right words!...gosh...isit my face?...isit my hair?...isit my dressing?...do i really look dat young??? [b]Today was such a loooooong day gosh...left the house for school to play badminton around 1015...usually at this time i'm still deep in dreamland...and thank God for His provision today!...we only managed to book one court for one hour coz of certain silly rules the school had regarding the booking of sports facilities...but in the end we still managed to play for two and a half hours on two courts!...check it out!...the people who booked prolly din come or smth...but praise God for this!
We made a trip to sentosa to settle some administrative stuff for the booking of a chalet for Xiumei's birthday gathering...wasn't too bad we (Me Weilong Stan and Xiumei) applied for the sentosa privilege card which gave us some fantastic discounts on alot of stuff...including unlimited entry to sentosa for a year!...gosh this island is gonna be my favourite haunt from now on...it's practically (and literally) in my backyard!...haha...and of course we managed to get a 50% discount off the chalet charges coz of the card too!...woo not too bad eh? haha [image]whostolemycookies_ 1293396365.gif[/image]
But i am so bushed...today turned out to be unexpectedly packed and tiring...i just thot dat today wld be another day dat wld become just another statistic...but apparently God had other plans for me...i'm just thankful dat He gave me such wonderful frens...but i'm so tired now...i tink i'm gonna stop here...[/b]

[b][b]I'm finally good to go...for the time being at least...
Hope the colours look fine...it sure does look so to me...
Took me a while to get into this...actually i took me just one min to get into the blogging community...for the rest of the time i simply never thought abt it...geez i thot since i'm so bad at keeping up with ppl i'll just write in some communal space where ppl can come and go as they wish...as and when they feel like it...and hoepfully after they leave this site a nag will go along with them...a nag dat refuses to go away until they have decided to make time to meet up with me haha...
Like i said i'm terrible at keeping up with people...but it's not like i'm doing anything abt it =p...the hols have been pretty uneventful so far...if this goes on i'm might get bored out of my socks (everybody take note haha!!!) i've been home the whole day today...managed to mess up my room...and unmessed it too in the process of messing it up...it looks a bit different now....my mom commented it looked better the way it was...the new arrangement seemed to have eaten up watever pathetic floor space my room had to offer...well at least i'm happy with it...i just had to get my room revamped...i needed a new environment!!!
What had initially promised to be an exciting and hectic three months holiday seems like it might be turning out to be the exact opposite...a lot of things have happened over the last two months dat disrupted a lot of my plans sigh...and unlike last june...i can't just pick up and go travelling coz of the SARS situation rite now...literally stuck on an island with nowhere to go =p...anyone with job lobangs???
